ABSTRACT

This special session invites original and forward-looking contributions on autonomous systems, with a particular focus on resilience, coordination and intelligent behavior for defense and security applications. As autonomous multi-agent systems- from ground robots to aerial swarms - play an increasingly central role in surveillance, reconnaissance, disaster relief and cyber-physical defense, this session provides a space to discuss both theoretical advances and experimental validations. We particularly welcome contributions that address challenges in sensing, perception and measurement, such as sensor fusion, uncertainty management and real-time data interpretation, as these are critical for decision making and control in complex environments. Submissions may focus on novel methods, system architectures and application studies that address distributed, coordinated and fault-tolerant control of heterogeneous autonomous platforms, especially in contested or resource-constrained scenarios.
