Awards

IEEE TechDefense 2023 will have the following awards, which will be announced and bestowed at the Award Ceremony.

This award recognizes the most outstanding paper presented at IEEE TechDefense 2023.
The Best Conference Paper Award is promoted by University of Sannio.

The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:

• A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
• The announcement of the achievement on a special conference webpage.

Basis for Judging: A selection committee will be appointed by the Awards Committee Chairs. Papers are judged based on technical merit, originality, potential impact on the field, clarity of the written paper, and quality of the conference presentation.

Presentation: The award will be announced and presented at the Award Ceremony.

This award recognizes the best paper authored / co-authored and presented by a researcher younger than 35 years in age. The Authors interested in this Award should submit their contribution by selecting the Special Session “Young Researchers Activities in Technologies for Defence and Security”.

The Best Paper presented by a Young Researcher is promoted by IEEE Young Professional - Italy Section.

The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:

• A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
• The announcement of the achievement on a special conference webpage.

The Best Paper Presented by a Woman is supported by IEEE Women in Engineering - Bulgaria Section Affinity Group.

• The announcement of the achievement on a special conference webpage.

The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:

• A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
• The announcement of the achievement on a special conference webpage.

Presentation: The award will be announced and presented at the Award Ceremony.

The AES Chapter - IEEE Italy Section is proud to endorse 1 Best Paper Award for Aerospace and Electronic Systems at the 2023 IEEE International Workshop on Technologies for Security and Defense with an Award Parchment and 500 EUR. The field of interest shall be the organization, systems engineering, design, development, integration, and operation of complex systems for space, air, ocean, or ground environments. These systems include but are not limited to navigation, avionics, mobile electric power and electronics, radar, sonar, telemetry, military, law-enforcement, automatic test, simulators, and command and control..

The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:

• A prize money amounting to 500 EUR;
• A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
• The announcement of the achievement on a special conference webpage.

Presentation: The award will be announced and presented at the Award Ceremony.

The DIIES Department from the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria is proud to endorse 1 Best Paper Award for Methods and Tools for Improving Flight Safety at the 2023 IEEE International Workshop on Technologies for Security and Defense with an Award Parchment and 500 EUR. The award is open to all special sessions scheduled by the conference. The field of interest will concern both the theoretical and practical aspects of the modeling used for the safety analysis for all operational phases. The design and/or experimental phase of systems and components of the aircraft necessary to guarantee an increase in operational reliability also remains included
